Jonas Classon is one of the world’s most acclaimed bird photographers. In his images, birds become more than subjects – they appear as individuals with their own presence, captured in a light that reveals what we rarely get to see.

His journey began in a hospital bed as a teenager. After years of isolation, returning to nature became a way back to life. The birds offered direction, and the camera became the link between fragility and possibility.

His breakthrough came with Night Hunter, the great grey owl that gained international attention when published in The Times and later toured the world. The image earned him the prestigious Pangea Prize at the Siena International Photo Awards.

His work has been exhibited at more than 70 museums worldwide, from the Natural History Museum in London to the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto.
